Berlin, 16 September – 2015 peakwork AG, a Düsseldorf-based IT specialist for the tourism industry, is building up its global tourism database, GeoSearch, which contains information about all important travel destinations, tourist attractions, popular places and beaches. TripsByTips, as strategic development partner with many years of experience with portals and SEO, is contributing both the basic geodata and editorial content to enhance the user experience at Expedia.de. TripsByTips to focus on B2B business in the future.
TripsByTips was founded in 2007 as a B2C travel community. To date, its 40,000 community members have published more than 120,000 travel reports, travel tips and photos. Since 2010, the TripsByTips team has been focusing on the B2B market with the production of unique editorial content for the online tourism sector. Gereon Frisch, CEO of TripsByTips: “We had been planning to give the TripsByTips community a boost for some time. Since we now focus exclusively on the B2B business, we are delighted that Expedia will carry on with the community independently in the future.”
The community and all TripsByTips.de contents will be fully integrated into the Expedia portal in the coming months. The TripsByTips team will remain unchanged and will exclusively focus on B2B business in the future.
